Zensah Argyle Compression Sock Review and Giveaway

While recovering from my trail race last weekend, I spent a lot of time in compression socks.

These compression socks to be exact:

The Zensah Argyle Compression Sock.

Directly from the Zensah website:  “Zensah Argyle Compression Socks provide runners, triathletes, cyclists, and all athletes with increased circulation and decreased recovery time by utilizing advanced graduated compression in each pair of argyle compression socks.”

“We use cutting edge, seamless technology to develop products made with the most comfortable fabric and perfect ergonomic fit.”

Zensah isn’t joking, these socks work AND they are comfortable.

Despite my legs being really sore from the trail race, two days after the race I decided to do a track workout with the Tuesday night crew:  4×500, 4×300, 4×500 relay style.  I figured I would stop early if my legs continued to feel awful, but once we got going, I couldn’t let my relay partner down!  My legs were begging for recovery.  Zensah Compression socks to the rescue!

I’ve talked about a lot of brands of compression socks in the past.  I can’t get enough of them!

But what stands out about Zensah for me?  If I had to choose one feature that I really enjoyed about the Zensah Compression socks, it would be the seamless construction.  This meant no red, itchy line where the top of the sock rests on my calf.  I hate when I sleep in a pair of good compression socks and they leave a chafed line across the top of my calf.

Zensah provides a comfortable, soft, moisture wicking compression sock that gets the job done.  They were the perfect fit and feel.  I used them for both running and recovery and was pleased with how they worked for both.

I am wearing the “White-Electric Blue-Light Blue” color combination.  Zensah offers their argyle socks in a variety of colors for $49.99 each.  Available for both men and women.

Lucky for you, Zensah has offered to give away 5 pairs to Mile Twenty Eight readers!  Enter to WIN!  Contest ends July 1, 2013

After running two marathons that left me with calf cramps I have been wearing my Zensah sleeves every run. I have a pair of compression socks that are Feetures but I haven’t really liked them. I’ve been looking into the Zensah socks.

  14. kleiny (@hudacity) says:

You know, I would love to try a pair, but I have yet to find some that can actually get over my calves. Having 22″ calves is great when running up hill or jumping flat footed, or standing on your tippy toes for 20 minutes, just not so good for trying to wear compression socks.

Maybe these are different, but typically anything over 20″ is a no go.

I absolutely fell in love with compression socks for post long run recoveries. I can’t believe the difference in how my legs feel the next day! I’ve also worn them on short recovery runs, for a couple of half marathons, and immediately post-marathon.
I love the argyle pattern, so much better than the boring black I have now!

I love compression sleeves which I found when i was training for my first half marathon a year ago. I wear them for some long runs and during half marathons and then wear them for recovery after long runs and races. I think they help a lot!

  25. Jen says:

I love compression socks during and for recovery )

  26. Mackenzie says:

I currently wear some sleeves that I found at a store, but have been looking into full socks but have heard a lot of them are quite thick and not ideal for summer running….how do you feel about these ones in that sense?

    • Jenelle says:

Hi Mackenzie! Yes, I would say these ones are think and can get warm during a run. Although, I think all of my compression socks are usually too much to wear running when it’s warm out. I don’t own any compression sleeves yet, but they seem like they might be a better option for when it’s really warm. Hope that helps :)

  27. Emily N says:

I am a HUGE fan of compression. I wear them during AND after workouts.

  28. Manisha @ Hokie, Esq. says:

I love wearing the sleeves for recovery! I wear them for any run longer than 5 miles! I’ve never tried the socks but they look amazing!

I have never worn them but would love to!

  31. Amber says:

I have a pair of Zensah compression socks and I love them! I’d love to add a pair of argyle ones to my drawer though :)

  32. Charlene says:

Unfortunately I don’t have a pair yet but if I did I would wear them for recovery.

  33. Lynne says:

I’ve worn both sleeves and socks during training runs. I prefer sleeves because I absolutely love my Balega socks. Plus the compression on my feet gets too tight after a few miles. I like my shoes loose. Hey it works. No big blisters and I haven’t gotten a black toenail yet.

  34. Julie says:

Never tried Zensah, I have used mostly procompression which I love, and SLS3, which is ok. I’ll have to try them if I can find them. Love me some compression socks, I have about 15 pairs of PCs marathon socks!

  35. Sarah M says:

Love compression socks. During the winter I run in them, during the summer I wear them for recovery! Great giveaway!

  36. Jeffrey says:

I wear compression socks during my long runs or intense intervals.

  37. Sarah Struss says:

Oh my. I feel like such a newbie here. I guess it’s cause I just started running. I have never worn compression socks, I really don’t even know what they do but by the comments above it seems to me like they are almost a necessity in running. And the sleeves?!?

Love, love, love what you’ve got going on here. Thanks for the chance to win!

  38. Sarah Jane says:

I’ve worn them before, primarily for recovery.

  39. Jade O. says:

For a while I HAD to wear compression socks or my shin splints were way to bad to be able to run. The only thing I dislike is they are extra warm for summer running! But they definitely help with running and recovery!
