Product Review: Clif Z Bar-Seasonal Flavor!

 I have a love for Clif Kid Z Bars like no other.

Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chip, Honey Graham, Iced Oatmeal Cookie, Peanut Butter, S’Mores and the NEW seasonal flavor…Full Moon Brownie!

My favorite flavor has always been the Chocolate Brownie.  I’m literally obsessed with it.  If I had to choose a second favorite, it would be the Honey Graham.

I was beyond thrilled when Clif contacted me about trying their latest seasonal flavor, Full Moon Brownie.  It’s similar to the Chocolate Brownie, with the addition of white chocolate chips and white chocolate drizzled over the top of the bar.

What’s in the Full Moon Brownie Z Bar?

-USDA certified organic, no high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, trans fats, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives

-made with 8 whole grains and contains 12 essential vitamins/minerals

-blend of complex carbohydrates combined with 2 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber to help curb hunger and stabilize energy levels

-12g of sugar per bar (which is less than 35% of its total weight in sugar). When compared to other treats that appeal to kids, or people like me, Zbar contains less-processed sugars, lower total sugar

-Each 1.27 oz (36g) Full Moon Brownie Zbar has 120 calories

What are my thoughts on the Full Moon Brownie Z Bar?

Being similar in taste to the Chocolate Brownie flavor (my favorite), it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I love this seasonal flavor.  In my opinion, the white chocolate chips were the perfect addition to this chewy bar.  I also like the portion size of this Clif bar.  It’s just enough that I (sensitive stomach and all) can eat and still head out for a run without any trouble.

As far as this Z bar goes for kids, I think the Full Moon Brownie flavor is a great tasting, yet still healthy and wholesome, snack option.  Nutrition conscious parents can give their kids a healthy energy source in a convenient, portable package.

Z Bars are easy to find in most health food sections of your local grocery store.

As the Full Moon Brownie package states, “The costumes should be scary-not the treats.”  Enjoy!

    Definitely a Cliff Bar fan, and these sound delicious. I must confess I wish we got all the Cliff Bar flavors up here in Canada. Sounds so yummy!

    I haven’t tried the oatmeal cookie, so I’d love to see how it tastes! I love the other ones, and as I stated earlier this wk, I have a horrible habit of stealing them from the kiddos! Hahaha! Have a fab day! Xxoo

    Love these things. From a marathon to ironman… I’ve found these to be my go-to nutrition bar. They offer the perfect balance of nutrition and size for most people to digest while on the go. Honey Graham takes the podium for me… looking forward to trying the new flavor!

    I’m a fan of Clif bars in general, and they’re usually light enough that I can eat them before running without any issues.
